Hobbs Pharmacy offers a full-service compounding department for both sterile and non-sterile prescription due both human use and our veterinary friends.

Each person is different, that's why Hobbs Pharmacy takes a different approach to medicine. Compounding is the mixing of two or more ingredients by a pharmacist to fit the unique needs of a patient. We work with physicians to customize medication for YOU in our compounding lab. Millions of patients have unique health needs that off-the-shelf, manufactured medications cannot meet. Hormones - like all compounded medications- are made from FDA and USP registered materials. Men and women both have the same hormones in their bodies to different degrees; balancing those is an art. Hobbs Pharmacy is able to compound hormones in various dosage forms such as a cream, capsule, sublingual or suppository, based on your physician's order. Hormones can be prescribed to deliver the specific amounts depending on the patients' needs or prescribers' preference. These compounds are customized to meet the unique needs of each patient.

Hormone replacement therapy is used to:

Veterinary Compounding

We work directly with your veterinarian to provide more prescription options to treat your pet. A simple touch like a flavored pill that tastes like liver, tuna, or banana may make it much easier to give medication to your animal. Other delivery methods such as trans-dermal gels and creams can deliver medications to your animal in easier way vs giving a pill. Whether your pet is a bird, mammal, or exotic, our compounding pharmacists will consult with you and your veterinarian to produce medication and the delivery system that will work the best. Ultimately, we give you and your veterinarian more choices, and thus more power to provide a long, healthy life for your animal. Custom Drug Administration Options

Hobbs Pharmacy provides custom administration options when the prescribed form is not feasible for the patient. Whether it is due to age, disability or preference Hobbs Pharmacy can combine the active ingredients of prescription drugs. With this action we can change the form of administration from pill to topical gel, oral liquids, chewable treats, lollipops or even injectable medications. Allergies and fillers

Sterile Compounding

At Hobbs Pharmacy we have been preparing sterile compounded medication for over 25 years. We have start of the art equipment and a very knowledgeable staff to insure your medication is prepared accurately. We also follow all USP 797 standards to ensure your product is sterile. Our products are tested to insure you received a safe effective medication.

Following the USP chapter 797 guidelines:

• Tests finished products – in-house testing & independent laboratory testing
• Monitors the clean room with environmental microbiology sampling
• Monitors the particle count of the clean room's sterile environment
• Follows proper cleaning and maintenance routines
• Routinely has outside party certification of its laminar flow hood
• Routinely tests pharmacy staff on their sterile technique
• Has personnel properly groom and gown before entering critical sterile compounding areas

• Eye Drops including antibiotics
